Hmm, I just heard about Posterous today from Tim Ferriss. I don't quite know what it is yet, and I'm still bogged down with the social networking sites I already use--is Posterous anything special or just a way to link different feeds into one place?

I'll probably end up setting up a Posterous account for LoopingWorship, but the question I keep wondering about is "how much social networking is TOO much?"

Cool, thanks for the tips. I think it will work for what i am looking to do. if not, I can use Pixelpipe to do the same thing and I love Pixelpipe.

Actually, now that you are telling me about your experiences, I am wondering if Pixelpipe would work better for what I want to do. I am not interested in multiple pics for an album (at least I don't think I am) and that seems to be the only difference at this point,

Oh well, Thanks :)

I've been trying out posterous, and I have mostly liked it. I really enjoy the photo gallery that is created when more than one picture is uploaded. I've wished for the ability to send more than one pic at a time from my iphone to posterous so the gallery can be created without having to connect the phone to my computer. I haven't played around with the new iphone app, but I think it addresses this issue. I also really really REALLY wish I could add descriptions to multiple pics, send them to posterous where they form a gallery, and in flickr or facebook the descriptions stay with the pics. As far as I can tell, it doesn't work that way. If you add descriptions to multiple pics, each pic forms a separate post on posterous.

But still... I mostly like it. Let me know if you figure out any great tricks!

I agree Fred. I don't have any auto services attached to my blog. And I also won't be using this except to update to everything at once. There will be many things I just blog about and twitter about. Thought this would be a good resource for trips or events. things like that.

Who knows, by the end of the week, I may hate it :)

I've not gotten on the bandwagon yet, but guess I'll check it out. Sometimes the over redundancy has to be managed, ie. if I use posterous to post to my blog and twitter, I want to be sure that my blog post doesn't also notify twitter, hence, a double tweet. (I already have that problem with the su.pr and twitter tools plugin that i'm trying to negotiate!)
