A Letter To Those Who Attend TRF – re:Swine Flu

I hope you are all doing well. In the midst of this media storm regarding the swine flu, there are real concerns and true reactions to it. I wanted to take a moment and assure you that Table Rock Fellowship understands your concern and we are going to make adjustments as needed to do our part in seeing this illness through.

Pastor Ron will take a moment at announcement time in each of our service to tell you our thoughts regarding your participation with the crowds. I can also assure you that our kids ministry always takes the health of your children as a number one priority. They will continue to disinfect toys and classrooms, while also being strict about sick children not being allowed to take part in class.

Please take care of yourself. Wash hands, stay out of public areas if you are sick or have flu symptons and most importantly, get help if it is required. Don’t delay. Your health as well as the health of others is important to us.

If you are concerned about attending church services over this period of time, we welcome you to stay home and join us online at http://mogulus.com/tablerock We will broadcast all services live, at their normally scheduled time. So join us Saturday at 6PM and Sunday at 8, 9:45 & 11:30AM.

Have a blessed weekend. If you have any questions regarding the Swine Flu or Table Rock’s actions to do our part in helping to prevent it, feel free to respond here, email answers@tablerockfellowship.org or call us at 245-2612.

I just tried to watch the live broadcast, but it didn’t work very well, I’m afraid ={! We have a new computer, so that shouldn’t be an issue (still not a Mac tho’, so maybe that is the problem =). This is the first time I’ve ever tried to watch, but it continuously ‘cut out’ every few seconds for the whole worship service/announcements and beginning of Tom’s lesson. There’s no way anyone could follow it at least from how it came across here this time anyway.

‘Just thought you’d want to know, or might have suggestions about how to improve it from this end.

Bummer, sorry to hear it. Someone else last week said the same thing an they had a very fast internet line, so I am not sure what it is that is causing that. It doesn’t do this for everybody, but it is doing it and troubles me. I have anther feed service I may try out to test the two together. The goal is to give everyone an opportunity, so we will keep working on it.

      Thanks!

Brent – i would say nothing to detract from the good work you and your fellow pastors are doing concerning this post.

I would encourage you however, to do nothing UN-usual in this regard… in the time Swine flu has killed 20 people in two countries (yours being one of them), The US typically has lost over THREE THOUSAND human beings to normal everyday Influenza A.

20? 3000?? which is worth the greater reporting in papers? Which is worth taking the MOST precaution against?

Do not ever forget how deadly (especially to our elderly) flu is and how easily we can reduce the severity and infection spread in our larger institutions like Church.

Swine flu is the least of our problems (so far) ;-)

Keep a close eye on anyone you see with pigtails !! :-D

Absolutely. Flu is taken very seriously. We have many things we do and encourage all year round.

Unfortunately this incredible hype has created a lot of scared people. Our whole intent was to assure people that we are thinking of them and looking out for ther best interest.

And our Pastor Ron, during announcements this weekend, assured our people that “Rain or swine, we would continue having church”.
