Final Shopping Days…
So, there are only (including today) 5 more shopping days left. So, are you done?
Maybe you are, maybe you aren’t. Maybe your thinking of something else you could do? I want to remind you of three great opportunities, to go “shopping”, these last 4 days.
First of all. Advent Conspiracy. They have a simple 4 fold statement.
*Worship Fully
*Spend Less
*Give More
*Love All
Their hope is that, we may re-consider our routines this Christmas and see those we may be able to help. Specifically in dealing with providing resources and training for clean water.
Watch this…
Next is Compassion International. Most of you know about Compassion, so i won’t take a lot fo time to talk about this. But there are kids in this world that just need a little extra. To help with food, water, clothing and schooling. You can be a part of one of their lives. Check them out.
Finally, is a simple charity called 50,000 shoes. Their goal is to purchase 50,000 pairs of shoes for kids in need in 50 days. They have a short amount of time left and could really use your support. It is really simple $5 pays for 2 pairs of shoes. Easy as that. This is a great one to get kids involved with. using their allowance and things to teach them about charity and giving financially. Check them out.

The girls & I started (just this year) to think of a project in Sept. that we could work on. We’re gonna take pictures along the way & then present Ross w/ a small scrapbook of our endeavors in his name.
This year it was collecting pencils to send to Kristi Applesauce over at Oceans of Mercy. We collected over 700 pencils & enough for the shipping. She’s going to hand them out to kids in low income schools.
I was proud of the girls for so many reasons. But one thing I loved is that they asked for bright colored, character pencils, cuz the kids would like those better. And one person asked if they could send already sharpened pencils & Cyra gently explained that we wanted to bless these kids w/ something of their very own.
This will def. be a new tradition in our house.
