Dear blog,
How are you? It’s been a while. It seems like I am letting you down. Please don’t be angry. It’s not you. It’s me. I’ve been busy. And when I have some time to think, I am empty.
I’ve been thinking about the good times we’ve had. Funny pictures, discussions on politics and evolution and Him vs Her. I love those. But what I miss most are the real and honest conversations. The people that speak here are amazing!
I promise I’ll be back soon. You complete me. For real. When I am not here, I feel like something is missing.
So, stay strong. Stay ready. Cause when I’m back, you won’t know what hit you.
In the meantime, grab a nice beverage and enjoy the end of Summer. Fall will be here soon and I am sure it will bring many opportunities for new thought.

Man in Black: You’re trying to trick me into giving away something. It won’t work.
Vizzini: IT HAS WORKED! YOU’VE GIVEN EVERYTHING AWAY! I KNOW WHERE THE POISON IS!
Man in Black: Then make your choice.
Vizzini: I will, and I choose – What in the world can that be?
Vizzini: [Vizzini gestures up and away from the table. Roberts looks. Vizzini swaps the goblets]
Man in Black: What? Where? I don’t see anything.
Vizzini: Well, I- I could have sworn I saw something. No matter.First, let’s drink. Me from my glass, and you from yours.
Man in Black, Vizzini: [they drink ]
Man in Black: You guessed wrong.
Vizzini: You only think I guessed wrong! That’s what’s so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Vizzini: [Vizzini stops suddenly, and falls dead to the right]

Well obviously, a lot can happen in a few hours since reading the first comments here. There’s no way I’m staying up to read the other 125 since, so I’ll just address the original post:

I realize you’re not addressing your readers directly, but personally, I’m sort of hoping for something other than what might ‘hit’ when you’re back ={! Instead, more like you said,
“what I miss most are the real and honest conversations.”
Amen to that, and may I also add, “empty” might be a good thing? Maybe God’s answering your communion song/prayer from the weekend??
What’s most important, I think, is what you get ‘filled back up with’ after the emptying — and before the ‘coming back’.
