New Music You Have To Hear…My Kids!

Family, Video

You all should know by now that I am proud of my kids. My son Dakota is 11. My daughter Kassidi is 14. She’s going to be in high school this year…holy crap!

Both of them are gifted in music. They love playing and singing and writing. They both help out in church with worship in Kids church and Junior high. They love it. And I am so pleased to watch them participate.

They’ve started a band called “Chaos Theory”. They want people to know that even though they are small and seemingly insignificant, God’s power through them can have dramatic effect on people around them.

Tonight we spent about an hour recording 3 songs, live, for their MySpace band page. They have a concert in August and have been working hard to get ready. They have a mixture of covers and originals. We will get the originals recorded soon. For now, I thought you’d enjoy my kids…and their band mates Travis and Josh…doing a cover of the song “One Way” by Hillsong United. Enjoy…

wow. you so TOTALLY should be proud of them! Great band instincts… initiative… raw musical talent… voice…. shirtless persona :) ….. I mean, an 11-year-old boy who has the control and attentiveness to play well, and then fall silent at the end of the song?!!!?!??!?? I know grown-ups who struggle with such things. And a 14 year old girl who makes a song her own… this is so amazing. Thanks for sharing them with us!

    Freaking rockin’ man.

One Way is one of those songs that I totally hate, but the old worship pastor did it a lot and the church knows it so I end up doing it.
Listening to these guys do it actually makes me like the song.

Dan, she’s been leading worship for Kids church and Jr High. She’ll be helping with high school starting in fall. She’s also done a couple of things in our adult services. She’s been having a blast.

Billy, Glad we could help! :)
