A Major Milestone!
I have reached the number 2000!
Alright, most of you have no clue what I am talking about. Let’s start with this.
There I said it and I’m not ashamed. I’ve been Tweeting for the last 6 months and I love it. Some of you have no clue what Twitter is. Well here is a great video that describes it. But the main reason I Twitter is because of this!
Community! Twitter is an amazing community. I have met some amazing people, communicated with some I would never have access to through email or phone and been a part of ups, downs and everything in between with those who have chosen to share their life with me.

I use Twitter but I still don’t know what it’s all about exactly. How do replies work? Can people only see your updates if they follow you even if you’re following them? What is the purpose of Twitter, anyway? I don’t think many people would be interested in my day-to-day life. Lol.

Joel, If you reply to someone, they get it whether they follow you or not. But, they may not see it depending on how many people they follow and how busy their traffic is. Generally reply is a quick way to respond right away to someones tweet.
What’s the purpose? Well that video i linked to gives a great general description, but it is what you make it. I love leaving those little quick thoughts I have. Most of the time it’s fun, sometimes serious. I can direct people to things on the web or they can direct me. I’ve learned a ton from people I follow in my filed of work. They see something, tell us about it and I check it out. I like that.

Personally, I think Brent has a problem and I’m concerned. I’m afraid Brent is an addict, or what we call in the twitterverse, a Twit. Tam, I believe that we need to stage an intervention or we could very well lose him forever. This post clearly indicates that he is not only a danger to himself but also to others as he openly invites the innocent into his den of iniquity. How many more will we allow to be taken down with him before we put a stop to his shenanigans. Oh, the humanity! Somebody please start up a non-profit, 501-something-or-other organization and stop this insanity before it’s too late!
P.S. Yes, I twitter but, unlike Brent, I can stop whenever I want. I can. Seriously.

I twitter too but I have to admit, it ranks right up there with the iPhone for me…

Twitter seems like another kind of “chat”. I can see where it gives you a sense of being connected to your community of friends at all times. I have a hard enough time maintaining my own blog and keeping up with the blogs of my friends. Keeping up with E-mail, chats and twitter just takes up too much time for me.

But seriously, I focus on Twitter and my blog. That’s all I can handle or should handle.
It is a lot like chat, but even more than that it is like an open ongoing conversation.. When life happens, you hear about, whatever the situation might be. And more than not it is something fun and interesting.
Brent talks too much. He talks too much about how he likes to talk too much.
You love me. Don’t deny it.
There needs to be an ornery emoticon. Maybe Mandy can work on that for me??

Did you know there is a way to make your Twitter feed to a widget on your blog. People who don’t know how to use twitter could then follow you also… Just a thought…

ckroboth, Thanks! I actually have the Twitter badge installed, but since Twitter is having all it’s issues, it has shut it down for now, so all you get to see is the “follow me”. You can click on that and it will take you to my page. I was really bummed that I was debuting this page without the Twitter badge working correctly. Hopefully it will be back up soon!
Oh Brent, I was happy to see that you sold it…but only to get a new one!!! I had so much hope for you… all dashed I tell ya…dashed…
